Bodyscape Fitness Area
Bodyscapes is a fitness center located in the Longwood Medical Area, nestled among a wide variety of medical facilities and research centers. When they became too popular for their fitness area to handle, Bodyscapes contacted Construction Coordinators, Inc. to expand their workout space.
The building that Bodyscapes is located in is also filled with medical labs, in which researchers were performing carefully monitored experiments that could not be disturbed. For much of the project, Bodyscapes’ neighbors had no impact, but when work began on a laundry facility for their towels, CCI realized their issue: they needed to put a vent up to the roof of the building, and install plumbing through the basement. This meant working in and around medical labs that were controlled by dedicated researchers and full of delicate experiments. All told, it took CCI nearly six months to carefully navigate the various labs in the building and lay all the necessary connections, but in the end, the laundry room was successfully set up.
Now Bodyscapes has an expanded set of facilities, from workout area to laundry room, in a fresh and attractive space.
