Fellsway Plaza
Fellsway Plaza has been a shopping destination in Medford for fifty years, but despite several overhauls during its lifetime, it was beginning to show signs of stagnation. Its owners enlisted Construction Coordinators, Inc. (CCI) to revitalize the plaza by performing major renovations to the building façade, the core systems of the building, and several minor aspects of the shopping experience.
Tenants in Fellsway did not want to lose any business during construction, so all existing operating tenants remained open during the work. This severely limited the work schedule and required that CCI carefully manage any debris and dust to avoid impacting the businesses. Even with the tenants remaining open, façade improvements were completed for the entire center, and the roof, mechanical systems, fire alarms and lighting were upgraded throughout. Furthermore, CCI added ramps, plants, benches and other minor improvements to the shopping experience around the center. Besides the upgrades, CCI also built a ground-up free standing structure on an abandoned parcel of land, which contained three new restaurant options, expanding the appeal of the center.
Today, Fellsway Plaza is once again one of the prominent shopping centers in the region, with expanded shopping options, a modern shopping aesthetic, and a more comfortable shopping experience.
