Eze Castle Software Group
Textile mills are old, gloomy places—the perfect place for a horror film, most would agree, rather than an office. Eze Castle Software Group, a financial services software company, moved into a textile mill that was built a century or more before the computer was even invented, and they hired Construction Coordinators, Inc. (CCI) to renovate the building for them.
Rather than an engineering challenge, the project posed an aesthetic one: the mill was dark and enclosed, and not a good fit for a forward looking company like Eze Castle. CCI set out to change the atmosphere. They removed the paint from the exposed brick walls, timber columns, and beams until they were smooth and clean. Many dividing walls were removed, creating an open office layout. CCI built new eating areas, entrances, gathering spaces and server rooms. The old mill was transformed into a striking modern office building, while still retaining its antique beauty and sense of history.
Eze Castle’s office now provides an outstanding working environment to its employees: so outstanding that it has repeatedly been named one of the best places to work in Massachusetts.
