Perseus Books
Perseus Books’ story begins in 1996, with their creation as a small independent book publisher. The company soon grew into a powerhouse in the industry through smart business decisions, including the acquisition of other publishers. Because of its rapid growth, Perseus Books needed a new space for its marketing services and to house one of its imprints, Da Capo Press. To help ease the transition from their long-time location in Cambridge to the emerging Fort Point Channel neighborhood, Perseus hired Leslie Saul + Associates and Construction Coordinators, Inc. (CCI).
In renovating the new office, CCI sought to emphasize the independent spirit of the company while creating an effective corporate workplace. CCI ensured that communication between the project team and Perseus Books was always a priority, so that the office would be suited to the publisher’s needs. The end result is a vibrant and freshly laid-out interior that provides Perseus Books with the facilities they require to succeed. Most importantly, however, the input from Perseus Books led to a final product that feels like home.
Perseus Books, now finishing its second decade as a publisher, has experienced a meteoric rise in the industry, and CCI is delighted to have been able to help by building their very own “storybook” office.
