3M is a Fortune 100 company, and by far the largest corporation that Construction Coordinators, Inc. (CCI) has worked with. They hired CCI to help install multi-touch glass manufacturing equipment in one of their factories, for use in tablets and smartphones.
The factory that CCI was working in was filled with a variety of other manufacturing equipment, producing everything from tape to electronics, so CCI had to take care that their work did not disrupt the precise processes happening in the area. Moreover, the multi-touch glass equipment was to be installed in the furthest corner from the door, so materials had to be moved through the entire factory, necessitating extreme caution. Beyond the challenges of the factory as a whole, the specific work area for CCI posed difficulty, because the floor was unsuitable for heavy equipment. CCI smoothed out and reinforced the floor to better handle the weight of the manufacturing equipment.
Despite the obstacles in the installation, CCI managed to set up the multi-touch glass equipment without any issues. 3M’s revenues routinely are measured in the tens of billions, and CCI is glad to have helped them achieve some small part of that success.
